Key Features
Here we’ll explore all the features that make the SunCube unique.
Easy and Quick Assembly
One of the standout features of the Salus SunCube Traditional Sauna is its modular design. The assembly process is incredibly simple, as all construction and finish elements have been prepared for easy assembly using digital CNC machines. This means that all parts fit together precisely, ensuring that your sauna will be stable and durable, both during transportation and throughout its lifetime.
However, all Salus SunCube saunas are delivered fully assembled! Massive bonus.
6-Person Capacity
The SunCube line comes in exclusively 6-person capacity, which is all the space you’ll ever need.
We wish it came in different size options but, oh well.
High-Quality Spruce Construction Beams
The SunCube Sauna’s frame is built using spruce construction beams, which are known for their strength, stability, and durability. Spruce is a popular choice for sauna construction because it has a straight grain and a fine texture that’s easy to work with. The result is a sauna that not only looks stunning but also provides a solid foundation for years of enjoyment.
Advanced CNC Precise Paneling
The SunCube’s construction benefits from CNC precise paneling, which means that all components are cut and crafted using digital CNC machines. This ensures precision, consistency, and quality in every aspect of the sauna’s construction. The CNC paneling also contributes to the sauna’s easy assembly, as each piece fits together seamlessly.
Superior Mineral Wool Insulation
The SunCube Traditional Sauna is insulated using mineral wool insulation, which offers excellent thermal performance. This helps to maintain a consistent temperature inside the sauna, providing an ideal environment for relaxation and rejuvenation. Mineral wool insulation is also moisture-resistant and non-combustible, making it a safe and effective choice for sauna insulation.
Durable Line-X® Roof Coating
The SunCube Sauna’s roof is coated with Line-X®, a protective material that shields the wood panelling against severe weather impact. This durable coating ensures that your sauna remains in top condition, even when exposed to harsh outdoor elements.
Secure External Key Locks
For added security, the Salus SunCube Traditional Sauna comes with external key locks. These locks provide peace of mind, knowing that your sauna is protected from unauthorized access when not in use.
Top-of-the-Line Heaters
The SunCube saunas come with 4 different options of premium sauna heaters (both electric and wood burning), including Huum and Harvia which are among our personal favorite heaters.
We always really love when companies give you different options when it comes to the heaters and accessories, it appeals much more to individual preferences.
The default heater that comes at no extra cost is the Huum Hive Mini w/ WiFi Control.
In addition, all wood burning stoves come with chimney install kits (pipe, adapters, covers and base).

Extra Add-ons
As with all Salus sauna, the SunCube has the option to add on some great extra products, such as a bucket and ladle, thermometer, LED lighting and more.

Is it Better Than a Barrel Sauna?
The Salus SunCube Traditional Sauna boasts a distinctive design that sets it apart from other saunas on the market. It finds a cool middle ground between a traditional box/cabin sauna and a barrel sauna, thanks to its rounded corners. These curved edges not only add visual interest and appeal to the sauna’s appearance, but they also contribute to better heat distribution and energy efficiency.
When comparing the Salus SunCube Traditional Sauna to a barrel sauna, it’s essential to recognize that the choice ultimately comes down to individual preferences. Both types of saunas have their own unique advantages and characteristics, making them appealing to different users.
The SunCube Sauna, as mentioned earlier, boasts a distinctive design with its rounded corners, blending the aesthetic appeal of a traditional box/cabin sauna and a barrel sauna. In terms of energy efficiency, the SunCube is slightly less efficient than a barrel sauna. However, the difference is minimal and may not be a significant factor for many users.
In our opinion, the SunCube has the edge in terms of aesthetics, offering a contemporary and timeless look that complements various settings. This unique design adds a touch of sophistication and luxury to any space, making it an attractive addition to your home or backyard.
